The unique icon makes the browser recognizable and emphasizes its visual identity. In turn, the latter is formed by three segments, each of which is restricted and has its color. Font and Color of the EmblemĬhrome’s trademark is an abstract multicomponent disc-shaped figure composed of a small blue circle and a wide, colorful ring. The rest of the elements are kept as they are.

In addition, the central circle is slightly enlarged. They have become more saturated and bright.

The modern Chrome logo has enhanced colors. It is only vaguely reminiscent of the original 2008 graphic, mainly with its round shape and color combination. The image is now 100% 2D and follows the concept of simplicity. The designers slightly changed the color palette, made the borders of the shadows blurred, and removed a pronounced gradient. This logo is not much different from the previous one. It occurs when Chrome OS 57 or later is launched on devices such as Chromebooks. The new Chrome icon was first introduced in the mobile operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop (2014), then in iOS (2015). The purpose of the redesign is to redesign Google products while maintaining the existing style. It differed from the main version in pronounced texture: the developers changed the shadows’ location and made the gradient smoother, achieving a realistic 3D effect. However, a slightly different icon was used in the browser for the Android 3.0-3.2 platform. This logo was introduced in Google Chrome 11. In doing so, they placed the blue circle in a wide white ring, separating it from the multicolored fragments. The artists left a shift in shades from dark (at the edges) to lighter (closer to the center). Despite the significant simplification of the graphics, the gradient has not disappeared. As designer Steve Rura admitted, this was done to show the simplicity, accessibility, and speed of Chrome. In 2011, the 3D emblem was replaced by a flat 2D artwork reminiscent of the new Chromium icon. Shallow light gray furrows are visible on the yellow segment. Along the edges are three raised curved panels: yellow, green, and red. Inside is a large blue ball located in the very center. The Chrome logo depicts some technological innovation. This makes the surface appear smooth and shiny. The developers have achieved a three-dimensional effect thanks to smooth gradient transitions, dark, almost black shadows, and white highlights.

It appeared in 2008, and with it a 3D-style circular emblem. Almost twenty years after this event, the corporation acquired its browser.
